Housing Discretionary Quota cancellations
After having considered the report, the Cabinet led by the Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri.Naveen Patnaik took a historic step which was extraordinary and at the same time revolutionary. The decision was made to cancel all allotments under the discretionary quota for housing plots and apartments under the Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA), Cuttack Development Authority (CDA) and Odisha State Housing Board (OSHB) including their pre and post-possession transfers and resumption to their respective authorities. This was for the period from 1st January 1995 till present date. The Government further directed the BDA, CDA, OSHB and GA Department to take up another independent enquiry into the allotments made prior to 1st January, 1995 to decipher if any undue benefit of multiple allotments against the schematic provisions were perpetuated.
