100 Model Schools this Year
Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday directed all the district collectors to make at least 100 model schools functional during the 2015-16 academic year. Model schools are being constructed in all 315 blocks to ensure quality education to all. Collectors of Balangir, Bargarh, Balasore, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and Nabarangpur have been asked to complete the land identification process, which stalled construction of 11 schools in these districts. Stressing timely completion of hostels for ST/SC students, CM Naveen Patnaik has asked the collectors to hold special training programmes to ensure their success in Competitive exams.
