The BJD led State Govt will soon launch a scheme to provide low-cost houses to poor families. This will be called the Shelter Security Mission & will be personally monitored by Hon'ble Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik. Though guidelines of the scheme are yet to be finalised, the government aims to construct over five lakh houses every year, besides converting all kutcha houses into Pucca ones in five years. Around Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 20,000 Crores will be spent in five years.
