Launching of the signature campaign to protect the Mahanadi river, Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik vowed to fight till his last breath. “Mahanadi is our lifeline. Our agriculture, business and livelihood are dependent on it. We have written a letter to the Prime Minister and requested his intervention. We will take the legal course to restore our rights on the river. I will fight till my last breath,” Patnaik said at the public meeting in Cuttack, The BJD has planned a massive campaign in which signatures of around 87lakh families will be collected. A human chain along the 430-km from Hirakud to Paradip will also be formed
